The challenge: How can a vacant pub and chapel be repurposed for community benefit?

When the 200-year-old pub in Llanystumdwy was put up for sale in 2015, the local community stepped in. Menter y Plu, a community enterprise, crowdfunded to purchase the building. Tafarn y Plu is now a community pub, which also provides community services. The group have recently purchased and renovated the neighbouring 19th century chapel as a holiday let, for the benefit of the community.
