The Marsden & Slaithwaite DIY manuals highlight a series of small scale projects that could have a major impact on the character of the two towns.

They are called DIY manuals because the entire community of the town could get involved with the projects.  Projects are defined by scale - some could be achieved by individuals, others by community groups, while others require the partnership of the Local Authority.  Examples of projects range include new signs for the railway station, repainting railings, clearing weeds, concealing bins and transforming disused buildings.
